  1. Make batter

  2. Put in fridge to rest

  3. Preheat oven at 200C fan

  4. Put lard in the baking tray, into the oven

  5. Fry up sausage

  6. Take the tray out of the oven and remove any lard rind, leaving just the fat

  7. Place in the sausage, then pour over the batter. (The batter should come 3/4 the way up the sausage.)

  8. Tray back in oven for 30 mins.


  1. Boil broccoli for 2 mins
  2. Fry garlic on low heat in butter + olive oil
  3. Place broccoli in large bowl, sprinkle cornflower, toss to coat
  4. Add to garlic and oil, fry for 5 mins
  1. Slice carrots
  2. Boil for 5 mins
  3. Add the frozen peas
  4. Boil another 5 mins
